Apple TV Plus budgets come under close scrutiny from top exec

Apple is known to spend billions of dollars on its Hollywood projects, but that could be set to change following production losses across the wider streaming industry. According to Bloomberg, Apple’s senior vice president of services, Eddy Cue, is pushing studio chiefs Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht to oversee project budgets more closely in a bid to make its Apple TV Plus streaming business more sustainable.

Apple invests heavily in individual projects compared to larger streaming companies like Netflix, having spent over $500 million on movies from directors Martin Scorsese (Killers of the Flower Moon), Ridley Scott (Napoleon), and Matthew Vaughn (Argylle). Google made three major updates to its Gemini-powered products on Monday: The Gemini app now accepts audio files; Search can handle five new languages; and NotebookLM creates reports in the form of blog posts, study guides, quizzes, and more.  According to a Monday post on X by Josh Woodward, vice president of Google Labs and Gemini, audio file compatibility was the “#1 request” to the Gemini app.  Free Gemini users max out at 10 minutes of audio, and five free prompts each day. Hilarious Indian PUBG video goes viral with over 10 million views under 24 hours

The mobile version of Playerunknown's Battleground has become nothing sort of a sensation with over 20 million daily active users from all around the globe. It has been well received in India too, since the country was amongst the top three when it comes to the most number of players in Season 2 of the game. Now, the YouTuber, Ashish Chanchlani has published a new video that is based on his own experience while playing the game and most Indian PUBG Mobile players will find something that they can relate to in it. Trailers of the week: Star Trek, Severance, and Gundam

That very cool-looking Lord of the Rings anime hits US theaters on the 13th; Sonic the Hedgehog 3 follows on the 20th; and I’m deeply excited to see Nosferatu on December 25th.
