Tested: Heres how fast iQoo 3 5G can go

We have a new kid on the block today, and it comes strutting the latest hardware with the aim to the dethrone the very best in the high-end segment. The iQoo 3 rocks the Snapdragon 865, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, pressure sensitive edge buttons and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The spec-sheet is quite a mouthful and this also happens to be one of the first smartphones in India to support 5G connectivity (even though that does nothing for right now), but how does it all come together for an improved experience? We got the smartphone in our labs a few days before the launch event, with just enough time to put the device through our wringer of a test process and measured the performance so you don’t have to. The results were interesting to say the least. You can watch the video below —

Like we said in the video, the iQoo 3 is indeed one of the fastest smartphones to own right now, and while having 5G may not do anything for you right now, it does future proof it for when the networks arrive eventually. We also did a quick comparison with the Realme X50 Pro to see where they stand. But one thing is pretty clear. The iQoo 3 and the Realme X50 Pro belong a new breed of flagships that are faster than the most premium smartphones of last year and costs nearly half the price. More than anybody else, OnePlus should feel the most threatened and it remains to be seen how the company differentiates itself with the upcoming OnePlus 8 series.
