Huawei MatePad Pro 5G tablet with Kirin 990 SoC, punch-hole display and more announced

Huawei has announced the global variant of the MatePad Pro, which was launched in China late last year. The new model comes with 5G connectivity and packs the same 10.8-inch QHD+ (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with a 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio with a 4.9mm slim frame. The company also unveiled the Huawei M-Pencil 12 Graffiti painting, document processing, class notes, and more with 4096-level pressure sense and 20ms ultra-low latency. The Pencil is attached to the top of the tablet with active magnetic pairing and simultaneous wireless charging.

The MatePad Pro 5G is powered by the Kirin 990 5G SoC, paired with ARM Mali-G76MP16 GPU. It comes with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 256GB / 512GB of internal storage, which expandable memory up to 256GB with NM card. It runs EMUI 10.0.1 based on Android 10 with HMS.  The device comes with two-way wireless charging. It can mirror the screen of a paired smartphone as well. According to Huawei, the MatePad Pro 5G is the first tablet to support wireless charging.

It packs a 7250mAh battery, which supports 40W fast charging and reverse-charging devices at up to 7.5W. The tablet weighs 492 grams. The MediaPad Pro 5G comes in Orange and Forest Green colours. The price starts at 799 Euros (approx Rs 62,380) and will be available from June in China as well as markets across the Asia Pacific region, EMEA, and Latin America.

The tablet accessories include a keyboard case, Folio Cover, a sleeve and an M-Pencil.
