The Steam Deck just got a dual-touchpad keyboard and some much-needed fixes

Did I speak too soon? Two days after my one-month check-in with the Steam Deck portable gaming PC, Valve has already addressed a few of the most annoying issues I pointed out.

In a pair of updates, one in the stable channel and one only currently available in beta (full changelogs there), Valve has:

  • Added a dual-trackpad keyboard so I can type two letters at a time with my thumbs instead of hunt-and-peck
  • Finally added a full-size virtual keyboard to the Linux desktop mode, so you probably don’t need to plug one in (previously, you could only summon the old 2015 dual-trackpad keyboard there, but the new one does touch and gamepad, too)
  • Fixed the Wi-Fi so it automatically connects and reconnects without prompting you to re-enter the...

Google made three major updates to its Gemini-powered products on Monday: The Gemini app now accepts audio files; Search can handle five new languages; and NotebookLM creates reports in the form of blog posts, study guides, quizzes, and more.  According to a Monday post on X by Josh Woodward, vice president of Google Labs and Gemini, audio file compatibility was the “#1 request” to the Gemini app.  Free Gemini users max out at 10 minutes of audio, and five free prompts each day. Hilarious Indian PUBG video goes viral with over 10 million views under 24 hours

The mobile version of Playerunknown's Battleground has become nothing sort of a sensation with over 20 million daily active users from all around the globe. It has been well received in India too, since the country was amongst the top three when it comes to the most number of players in Season 2 of the game. Now, the YouTuber, Ashish Chanchlani has published a new video that is based on his own experience while playing the game and most Indian PUBG Mobile players will find something that they can relate to in it. Trailers of the week: Star Trek, Severance, and Gundam

That very cool-looking Lord of the Rings anime hits US theaters on the 13th; Sonic the Hedgehog 3 follows on the 20th; and I’m deeply excited to see Nosferatu on December 25th.
