EA donates $1 million to victims of Madden tournament shooting

In the wake of the Jacksonville shooting, Electronic Arts is donating $1 million to those impacted by the event. The company will also set up a fund to allow others to make additional contributions, as well as hold a Jacksonville Tribute Livestream with members from the community on September 6th.

On Sunday, August 26th, a gunman killed two and left 10 more wounded at a Madden tournament in Jacksonville, Florida, before committing suicide. Among those killed were Taylor Robertson and Elijah Clayton, two of the top Madden competitors. EA canceled the final three Madden Classic qualifier events in order to reexamine its safety protocols.
