Microsoft will be hosting a launch event tomorrow, on October 2. The company is expected to release the 2019 Surfaces devices. However, the renders of Surface devices have appeared online, thanks to the popular tipster Evan Blass. He has posted a series of images on his Twitter account, which gives us a look at Surface Pro 7, Surface Laptop (both 13-inch and 15-inch), and an ARM-powered Surface device. Blass has also mentioned the presence of a dual-screen Surface in one of his tweets.  Microsoft is expected to announce the Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7, and an ARM-powered Surface 2-in-1 device. Soon after its official launch, OnePlus 7T is all set to be able to record video on the wide-angle lens as well as a 960fps video recording feature. The device was announced last week, and it went on sale in the Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale 2019. It has a starting price of Rs 37,999 and already comes with some notable improvements from its predecessor.  According to a report by XDA-Developers, OnePlus 7T will soon support recording 720p slow-motion videos at 960fps. The previous generation of OnePlus smartphones including OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro support slow-motion video capture at 720p@480fps. Therefore, the new feature on OnePlus 7T will enable it to record videos twice as slow. The Realme X2 was launched last week in China. The device is the successor of the Realme X. It is essentially a rebranded version of the Realme XT, which is the company’s first smartphone to sport a 64MP main camera sensor. The upcoming Honor flagship smartphone has reportedly surfaced online. The Honor V30 is said to debut with the Kirin 990 5G. While popular messaging platform WhatsApp last updated its blog post regarding WhatsApp app support on mobile devices in May, it later added new information to its FAQ page, which now talks about a partial end of support for iOS 8. In other words, WhatsApp won’t allow account verification on iOS 8 devices after February 1, 2020. This will affect WhatsApp users who have not updated their iPhones to iOS 9 since its release in September 2015. Last week, OnePlus launched the much-awaited OnePlus TV in India. While the Chinese company was teasing just one TV, it jumped straight into the smart TV segment by announcing two TVs in its 55 Q1 Series. The TVs are made China, however, in an interview, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has said that the newly announced TVs will be manufactured in India by year-end. I’m filling in for Jake this week, and this is usually where he writes some pithy thoughts about a movie or show that he watched recently. I was really hoping that there would be a new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer out so I could write about that, but, sadly, there wasn’t. As we inch closer to the official launch of Google’s upcoming flagship smartphone, details about the Google Pixel 4 are leaking out of every tiny crevice in the internet. In one such leak, the sound recorder app that’s said to be pre-installed on the Pixel 4 was found available for free download on the popular online app library, APKMirror. Weighing in at a piddly 2.84MB, the app is named quite simply Google Recorder. You can get your hands on it here. Even though the new Google Recorder app is not yet available for official download via the Google Play Store, you can always download the installer (APK) file from APKMirror and sideload it on your Android device. To do that, you have to find the ‘Download APK’ button on the web page and click on it. When the download is done, open the installer file.
