Fortnite’s monster-filled Halloween mode ends Sunday with a one-time event

Fortnite’s monster-fuelled “Fortnitemares” event is coming to an end this weekend — and it looks like it will end with a bang. Developer Epic Games announced today that the Halloween event will be ending on Sunday, and that a one-time only occurence will be happening in-game that day at 1PM ET. “Login early and be in-match to witness the one-time event,” the developer tweeted.

“Fortnitemares” kicked off last week, and represented a dramatic change for the game, filling the map with ominous crystals that produced hordes of zombie-like monsters. (They’re definitely not zombies, though.) It’s a great example of just how much the battle royale game can change in a short period of time.
